Publication Ethics

JEDMI: Journal of Education and Multidisciplinary Studies upholds the highest standards of publication ethics. These ethical guidelines are adapted from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and apply to all parties involved in the publishing process authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. These policies are intended to ensure the transparency, accountability, and academic integrity of every publication in the journal.

1. Ethics for Authors

  1. Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is an original and unpublished work, not under consideration by any other journal.
  2. Authors are responsible for properly citing all sources and acknowledging all contributions made by others.
  3. Authorship must be limited to individuals who have significantly contributed to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.
  4. If a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered after publication, the author must promptly notify the editor for correction or retraction.
  5. Authors must submit a statement of originality and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

2. Ethics for Editors

  1. Editors hold full responsibility for the content published in the journal and must make publication decisions solely based on academic merit and scientific value, without discrimination.
  2. Editors must maintain confidentiality of manuscript content and refrain from using unpublished information for personal gain.
  3. Editors must ensure a fair, objective, and unbiased peer review process.
  4. Any complaints or allegations of ethical misconduct must be addressed promptly, transparently, and professionally.

3. Ethics for Reviewers

  1. Reviewers must provide objective, timely, and constructive feedback based on their expertise.
  2. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist or where a personal/professional relationship with the author could compromise impartiality.
  3. Reviewers must keep all manuscript content confidential and not use it for personal or professional advantage.
  4. Any suspicion of plagiarism, duplication, or other ethical violations must be reported to the editor immediately.

4. Ethics for the Publisher

  1. CV. Megantara Abdi Nusa, as the publisher of JEDMI: Journal of Education and Multidisciplinary Studies, fully supports the editorial independence and policies established by the editorial board.
  2. The publisher is committed to maintaining the academic quality and integrity of the journal through the implementation of a professional management system.
  3. The publisher shall provide administrative, technical, and ethical support throughout the publication process, including plagiarism checks, corrections, and retractions when necessary.

Handling of Ethical Violations

If any violation of publication ethics is identified such as plagiarism, data fabrication, manipulation of citations, or undisclosed conflicts of interest the editorial board will conduct a thorough investigation. Based on the findings, appropriate actions may be taken, including manuscript rejection, article retraction, or notification to the author’s affiliated institution.
