Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to JEDMI: Journal of Education and Multidisciplinary Studies undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and academic integrity.
The review is carried out by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The evaluation covers several aspects, including originality, scientific contribution, relevance to the journal’s scope, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and the quality of references.
The general steps of the peer review process are as follows:
- Initial editorial screening: The manuscript is reviewed by the editor for its relevance to the journal’s scope and formatting guidelines, as well as potential plagiarism.
- Reviewer assignment: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to appropriate peer reviewers.
- Reviewer evaluation: Reviewers assess the manuscript and provide recommendations: acceptance without revision, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
- Editorial decision: The editor considers the reviewers’ recommendations to determine the final status of the manuscript.
- Revision by the author: If revisions are required, the author is given the opportunity to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments.
- Re-review (if necessary): The revised manuscript may be returned to the reviewers for final verification.
- Finalization and publication: Accepted manuscripts are processed for layout and published online.
The entire process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the author’s responsiveness to revision requests. The journal applies a free review policy (no charge for peer review) and supports the open access principle to ensure the wide dissemination of scholarly knowledge.
