Editorial Board Duties
The Editorial Board of JEBMAFA: Journal of Economics, Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, and Administration is responsible for managing the journal in a professional, transparent manner, in accordance with the standards of scientific publication ethics. All board members actively contribute to maintaining the journal’s scientific quality and sustainability through the following roles:
- Manuscript screening and assessment: The editorial board conducts an initial evaluation of submitted manuscripts to ensure their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, as well as their substantive and technical completeness.
- Assigning reviewers: Board members identify and recommend qualified peer reviewers who are relevant to the manuscript’s subject area to conduct a double-blind peer review process.
- Making editorial decisions: Together with the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial board makes final decisions regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection based on reviewer evaluations.
- Upholding ethical standards and integrity: Board members act fairly, objectively, and free from conflicts of interest throughout the editorial process, while maintaining confidentiality of the manuscript content.
- Advising on journal policy: Board members are involved in shaping editorial policy direction, enhancing publication quality, and supporting innovation in journal management.
- Promoting the journal: Board members advocate for the journal within national and international academic communities and help increase the quantity and quality of submissions.
- Serving as academic ambassadors: The board represents JEBMAFA in academic forums, professional associations, and scholarly networks to strengthen the journal’s reputation.
